Christmas Party - the Results!
Wallsend's Christmas Party at Heaton Stannington Social Club on Saturday 12th December was a huge success, with an excellent turnout from members and some unexpected star turns on the karaoke - Joe McElderry watch out!
NB (1): An earring was found on the floor after the party If anyone has lost one, please let us know.
NB (2); We've had a request (if you weren't there - don't ask!) if anyone recorded Tony Maddocks, John Sturman and Dave Anderson doing 'Swan Lake'. If you were still sober enough to use your mobile phone at the time, please let us know...
Ian Fenwick came along to represent St Oswalds Hospice and accept a cheque for £1600 from money raised during the club's Coast & Castles Relay weekend.
Ian sent this message:
"I would just like to say a huge massive thank you for being invited last night. Thanks to Bill, Helen, Chris and Terry and everyone who I met and made me feel welcome.
On behalf of St Oswald's I thank you for raising your amazing sponsorship, support and achievement. St Oswald's would not exist without amazing people like you allowing us to provide care and dignity for everyone.
I hope to see all you soon and will endeavour to get down for a run with you.
Please pass on my kind regards to everyone. It was a privilege and honour to be invited last night. What an inspiration!"
