Don't forget it's Summer Grand Prix on Tuesday (22nd July) and there's still plenty to play for. Meet at the Barking Dog pub at the entrance to the Rising Sun Car Park at 6.30pm. Be there or be otherwise engaged (you best have a good excuse though)!
What a week it's been for races and what a week for the Green and Gold! Read on for a full round up of non-stop action.
First time at this new track and I must say it is a great venue. The meeting was well hosted by the Morpeth gang and things seemed to run very smoothly, well done to all involved.
Congratulations go to Morpeth for their victory in the match, who were pushed all the way by second placed Houghton A.C. It was a creditable 4th place for the Wallsend/Blyth team, fielding some new blood in the process.
A very well done to all nine Wallsend Harriers who took part in the Tyne Bridge Harriers ‘Bridges of the Tyne’ 5 miler on Tuesday night.
And it was another race, another V50 prize for Brian Hetherington, who decided at 50 to start collecting Start Fitness vouchers and so far it’s going very well indeed.
A little delayed this one (apologies), but a little patience gave us the time to find out our lovely ladies were medal winners at the Tynedale 10k.
There were 40 Wallsend Harriers stood on the start line in Ovingham, ready for the hill of race pace destruction, and we had some awesome performances to celebrate.
