The past week or so has seen Wallsend Harriers busy on a number of fronts. Below is a summary of some of the recent race results:
The Haweswater Half Marathon 7th March 2010

The Kielder Marathon 14th March 2010
This race, organised by the '100 Marathon Club' was the inaugural Kielder Marathon and took place on a balmy Sunday morning in March. The course led the field of only 25 runners on the recently developed Lakeside Way footpath around the out skirts of Kielder Water. Despite the undulating, and in places, rough terrain of the course, the tranquil surroundings gave the competitors plenty to look at when the going got tough, and left some (i.e. me, DD) had to resort to walking up the hills!

The Newcastle Parkrun: Exhibition Park selected March results
These races start at 9.00am every Saturday morning. It is a timed 5k run and is an ideal way to kick off the week-end. Entry is free (providing you pre-register in advance) and you can run as fast (or as slow) as you like. For further details visit http://www.parkrun.org.uk/newcastle/Home.aspx
