It was with immense pleasure and pride that Wallsend Harriers were able to donate the funds raised from the 2012 Toby to St Oswald's Hospice yesterday.
Bill and Kevin were there to present the cheque for £7,000.
It makes all those miles at the Toby so worthwhile and whether you raised £10 or £1,000 each and every person involved should be very proud of their achievement.
Pictured above with Kevin and Bill is Lyn Cain who is fundraiser at St Oswalds. Lyn said “We are extremely grateful to Wallsend Harriers for the support they’ve given to St Oswald’s over the years. They have been supporting us with this annual event for a number of years now, raising significant funds for us in the process. This year they’ve exceeded all expectations and raised a fantastic amount which will go towards helping to support adults, young people and children with life limiting conditions from across the North East. We are really grateful to groups like Wallsend Harriers who choose to support us with their events. We really couldn’t do it without them.”
