![]() Julie and the magic stone ! What a weekend! The 4th annual Wallsend Harriers Toby took place this weekend and after 172 miles of hard running a proud pack of Wallsend Harriers hit the beach at Tynemouth at around 4pm this afternoon. The weekend was simply awesome with too many stories to tell (many...in fact 99%.... unable to be published!) so many experiences (including Steve's Stag 'Do'!!!) to be had and many more friendships made and cemented......
Well the weekend is finally upon us and we head into the 4th annual Wallsend Harriers Charity Toby. We will be meeting at St Thomas More High School at 8am on Friday morning for an early start. The final cost of the weekend will be £40 per person for accomodation so please ensure you have this cash to give either Bill or Simon on Friday. Please click here for a kit list and general information sheet - this will give you an idea of what you will need over the weekend. If you have any further questions please contact Bill or Simon otherwise looking forward to seeing you all at the weekend for a great weekend of fundraising and fun! Finally...HUGE thanks to Bill, Simon, Ged, Vicky and Kevin for all their hard work in organising the weekend! With the prospect of lighter nights from next weekend, thoughts turn inevitably towards plans for the summer and in our case, plans for the Wallsend Harriers Charity Relay Run, better known as (and much easier to say) "The Toby".
Brainchild of Wallsend Harrier Ged Lee (pictured bottom left), and now in it's 4th year, the Toby is an opportunity for us to put our running capabilities towards generating much needed funds for selected local charities tending to people less fortunate than ourselves and have an absolute hoot at the same time! |
