It was great to see the return to form of young Adam Hill who last night won the junior race of the Watergate 5k. Adam has been out of action after breaking his leg playing football so it is great to see Adam 'Lightening Bolt' Hill back out racing. Huge congratulations also to the lovely Danielle Hodgkinson who took victory in the women's race (and was 5th overall) and Chris 'former junior winner of the great north run!' Smith taking 2nd spot in the race. Well done guys and good luck to all those racing on Sunday!! What a fantastic weekend had by those involved in our annual charity "Toby". This year, it was the famous 138 mile C2C cycle route. But yes, we did it on foot over just 2 days! As a result, St Oswalds Hospice, Beacon Hill and Woodlawn Schools will benefit from the sterling efforts of Wallsend Harriers again! We would all love to read the thoughts of those who took part, whether you have done all 5, or more especially those new to the club or the Toby itself. So please do add comments as we did for the Blaydon and as Caroline Hasson has already done here. To see some photos, click here. To see the video of the run in to the finish, click here.
